At the end of July some of us may also have been lucky enough to witness a 'Buck Moon'. This beautiful sight was also captured by professional Dorset-based photographer, Steve Hogan. Some of Steve's photos are available to see above, as well as on Instagram at @stevenhogan_photography.
In May 2026, we also experienced a 'Blue Moon' here in the UK where a full moon appears twice in the same month, creating the saying 'once in a blue moon'!
